Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: May 19, 2026 · Effective: May 19, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the LexGuard AI platform — including the landing page audit widget, the Next.js dashboard, the FastAPI backend, or any associated APIs — you ("User," "you") agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use immediately.
These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and LexGuard AI ("we," "us," "our"), operated by Sujal Meena.
2. Service Description
LexGuard AI provides AI-powered compliance auditing against India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023. Our services include:
- • Live Audit Widget — Free, instant clause-level DPDP compliance scoring on the landing page.
- • Dashboard — Authenticated workspace for full PDF uploads, deep audits, remediation roadmaps, and branded PDF export.
- • Credit System — Audit credits consumed per analysis; free starter credits and premium license key top-ups.
- • Enterprise API — Programmatic access for high-volume compliance workflows (by arrangement).
3. AI Disclaimer — Not Legal Advice
⚠ Important Disclaimer
LexGuard AI is an automated tool powered by Large Language Models (Google Gemini, Groq Llama 3). While we strive for high precision, all outputs — including compliance scores, flagged clauses, verdicts, remediation suggestions, and roadmaps — are generated by AI and are for informational and pre-audit screening purposes only.
LexGuard AI does not provide legal advice. You should always consult with qualified legal counsel familiar with the DPDP Act 2023 and your specific business context before making final compliance decisions. We expressly disclaim any liability arising from reliance on AI-generated outputs.
4. User Accounts & Authentication
Account creation and authentication are managed through Supabase (email/password or Google OAuth). You are responsible for:
- • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- • All activities that occur under your account.
- • Immediately notifying us of any unauthorized use of your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or exhibit suspicious activity.
5. Credits, Licensing & Payments
5.1 Free Tier (Starter)
New users receive 2 complimentary audit credits. Free credits are non-transferable and may be subject to change.
5.2 Premium License Keys
Premium license keys (₹499 for 10 credits) are purchased through our authorized payment partner (Superprofile/Cosmofeed). Each key is single-use — once redeemed, it cannot be reused or transferred. Keys are validated against a server-side registry and marked as consumed upon redemption.
5.3 Refund Policy
Due to the digital and consumable nature of audit credits, all sales are final. Refunds are not available for redeemed license keys. If you experience a technical issue that prevents credit use, contact support and we will resolve it on a case-by-case basis.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree to use LexGuard AI only for lawful purposes related to compliance auditing. You shall not:
- ✕ Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the audit logic, prompts, or retrieval algorithms.
- ✕ Use the platform to process documents you do not have the legal right to audit.
- ✕ Automate requests via scripts or bots that bypass rate limiting.
- ✕ Submit malicious content, injection attacks, or attempt to exploit the AI system.
- ✕ Resell, redistribute, or sublicense audit reports without authorization.
- ✕ Probe for sensitive server files (e.g., .env, .git) or attempt unauthorized access to backend systems.
7. Intellectual Property
The LexGuard AI name, logo, audit-grade prompt engineering, compliance scoring algorithms, RAG pipeline, UI/UX design, and all associated code are the intellectual property of the developer.
Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the platform for internal compliance evaluations. Audit reports generated for your documents are yours to use internally and share with your legal counsel.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- • LexGuard AI shall not be liable for any regulatory fines, legal penalties, or business losses resulting from use of or reliance on AI-generated audit verdicts.
- • Compliance with the DPDP Act 2023 remains the sole responsibility of the user.
- • Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim, or ₹499, whichever is lower.
- • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
9. Service Availability & Warranties
LexGuard AI is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. While we maintain high availability via our hybrid infrastructure (Vercel + AWS EC2), we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently available service. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature with reasonable notice.
10. Rate Limiting
API endpoints are protected by per-IP rate limiting to ensure fair usage and system stability. Current limits include 10 requests/minute for auth endpoints and standard throttling for analysis endpoints. Exceeding rate limits will result in temporary HTTP 429 responses. Enterprise users may request custom rate limit configurations.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to LexGuard AI at our discretion if you violate these terms, engage in abusive behavior, or if required by law. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately, and any unused credits are forfeited.
12. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users or through a prominent notice on our platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We recommend reviewing these terms periodically.
13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of India, with specific reference to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Rajasthan, India. Before initiating formal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation.
